Condolences

Condolence From: Cindy Beanblossom
Condolence: My deepest condolences to Julie, her family and many friends both human and furry. I fondly remember Julie from Earlham...about campus and particularly during my many hours spent at the science library. Her smile and sparkle in her eyes and heart warmed everyone's heart. As I was opening to this page, I felt a fresh cool breeze, quite strong immediate blow through my bedroom window this meloncholy night. Thank you for your visit and for many more visits to come. May we always connect with those we care about and love! Thank you Julie...

Condolence: Julie and I had dinner together three weeks ago. She had embraced the unexpected time off this summer; she re-invented herself, she was beautiful, dressed in a colorful outfit. She glowed. She said she felt happy, grounded. I met Julie about 14 years ago. I was her friend long before I was her real estate broker. We looked at lots of property when she was house-hunting, but we always came to back to The Little House in the neighborhood she loved. It needed loads of TLC, required a big leap of faith. We had many discussions about design ideas, floor plans; Julie had the vision and the determination to make it her own. And she did. It was a labor of love, for sure, but a very satisfying one. For my part, baker-Julie had promised me "English Muffins For Life." I had expected many more installments.
Our deepest connection was our devotion to our dogs. We would share our joyous stories but also the heartbreaking ones. We would provide emotional support when one of our most-precious fur-children was ailing and we'd help each other mend when they passed on.
Her connection to the animal world ran deep, as does mine. When MeiMei died, she wrote to me: "I told her I wasn't saying goodbye, that I would see her again. I asked her not to bite Duncan when she saw him!" We talked about how to recover from such profound loss. I had written back to her that "You just absorb the grief until, eventually, it becomes its own comfort." Yesterday at her memorial service someone relayed the story of the Rainbow Bridge. I can only hope that Julie was transported into the embrace of her beloved Duncan and MeiMei. In the meantime, we are here absorbing the grief while remembering so many good times. I will miss her greatly.

Condolence: My heart goes out to all of Julie's family and loved ones. Please have hope and comfort in God's promise that one day all those asleep in death who are in his memory will live again, only in perfect health and under much better conditions. (John 5:28, 29; Psalm 37:29)

Condolence: Such a tragic loss and such a wonderful person. Julie was my first boss at Down East and she was kind and caring and also very smart. The world will not be quite as bright without her. My prayers are with her family and friends during this difficult time. So so sad...

Condolence: I've known Julie since our early teens in Amherst, MA, before her family moved to Maine. We then reconnected when we both ended up at Earlham. I have so many wonderful memories of Julie. We played cello together, we laughed together and we even ran a freshman orientation group together our sophomore year at Earlham. It was so nice to see her again at our 25th reunion and then reconnect again with her in the last year talking about family (human and animal), music and photography. We were going to play cello duets again. She was a shining light and I will miss her deeply. My condolences to all who knew and loved her.

Condolence: Julie will be sorely missed here on "The Center" and her liitle house will never be the same. We all rooted for her as she transformed it from a sad, sagging shell into a warm and lovely little sanctuary. Julie, your spirit is welcome to visit any time! We feel the loss so much already.

Condolence: Julie, how you will be missed! I will never forget when we moved into our first apartment/house it was so nice living in Camden with you!

Until, you put my dog Emma the little Pug, for a flight that never really ended! You would yell out, "Pugs in space!" Emma was not amused. She looked at me like "get me out of this crazy woman's arms, NOW!" You just laughed and laughed! I will miss that silly and amazingly fun spirit!

See you with all of our creatures that have gone before us!
