APPLETON - Bryan R. Austin passed away Monday June 30, 2014 at his home in Appleton. Born August 30, 1967 in Salt Lake City, Utah, he was the son of John & Carol Higley Hewlett. Moving with his family at a young age to Colorado, he grew up and attended school there. He traveled to Maine to join his mother when she moved here. Bryan, also known as Rickie Hewlett, was a Jeff Gordon diehard and an avid NASCAR fan. He loved watching the races. Predeceased by his father in 1973 and his mother Carol Jean Hooper in April of this year, Bryan is survived by his sister Deena Savage and her husband Kevin of Union, brothers, Mark Hewlett of Minnesota, Marty Hewlett of Appleton; son Brian Reddish; daughter Rickay Hewlett both of Colorado and several nieces and nephews. Bryan's family will celebrate his life privately. Arrangements are in the care of Burpee, Carpenter & Hutchins Funeral Home, 110 Limerock Street, Rockland.
