Condolences

Condolence From: Carolyn Bond
Condolence: I met Chris soon after Rachel was born as she was a friend of my daughter. It soon became apparent that even though she was only 20 years old, her only concern was the well being of her daughter Rachel. While all the other girls were out partying and having fun, Chris was looking for work to support her new responsibility. She found a weekend job, and we became her weekend grand parents. My family of seven children fell in love with Rachel immediately and she became our eighth child. We followed Chris and Rachel through the next twenty years, well after Rachel married and moved sway. Chris never changed, always putting her kids first regardless of what was happening in her personal life. I am so proud to say I knew, loved and admired her and know how much she will be missed by all, especially her "babies. The sadness for you Rach has just begun but please try to take some consolation in knowing she is no longer suffering. but enjoying the rich rewards she so justly deserves. We love you Rach, please keep in touch. Nena

Condolence: I met your mother on two short occasions. However, it was not long before I discovered that she was a remarkable woman – professionally and personally. She turned her dreams into reality, and through her nursing profession accomplished much for those who lived with problems associated with mental illness. She kept working as long as it was humanly possible to give them the care they needed and deserved. I have much respect for her. I’m sure she touched the lives of countless others (who you may not know or will ever know) in many positive ways.

It was easy for me to see that your mother loved you so very much, and helped you to become the beautiful individuals you are today. I know that the love you returned to her throughout her life sustained her during all the painful experiences of her devastating illness. Your most difficult challenges are in front of you. Treasure the love between you - keep it close - it will sustain you as you begin to heal this deep sorrow.

With empathy,
Deborah Gagne
