DAMASCUS, PENNSYLVANIA & VINALHAVEN – Master Sergeant Valois 'Buzzy' Young, Jr., USAF Retired, 76, died peacefully, Saturday, May 26, 2012, at his home. He was born on Vinalhaven, July 11, 1935.
Born July 11, 1935 on Vinalhaven, he was the son Valois, Sr. and Gladys Bradstreet Young.
He was an avid Red Sox fan since 1941.
Buzzy is survived by his companion Kitty Womer of Damascus, PA; his children Lawrence Young of Long Beach, CA, Jessica Monokrousses and her husband Dennis of South Bend, IN, Barbara Wise of Thomaston; three grandchildren, Jennifer, Juliette and Bridgette Wise; a brother Kenneth Hopkins of Connecticut and his sister, Evelyn Renna of Portland.
A graveside celebration of his life with Military Honors will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, June 8, 2012 at Cummings Cemetery, Vinalhaven.
Memorial donations may be made to the charity of ones choice.
