Condolence: My heartfelt sympathies to you and your entire family Norma. I didn't know Alvin very long, and i certainly didn't know him as the man he truly was. Through taking care of "Pa" at knox, there was no doubt of his gentle kindnesses , Love and Devotion to family. I am gonna miss him alot. I am also going to miss all of you and your visits to Knox, My hope is that when you are ready, you will come see us on the second floor from time to time.I certainly hope to see you next fall for our annual memory walk and all the fan-fare. Hugs kisses and love to all of you Deb

Condolence From: Lawreston Crute
Condolence: Condolences to the extended families. It seems so long ago that Alvin would motorcycle into the Crute Farm in Cushing, paying another visit and chat session with Kenneth. Dad wasn't one to go visit, but bikers of all ages came to visit him, Alvin having been one of the regulars.

Whenever I fly up to Owls Head I always fly over Norton Cemetery(Cushing)and dip the wings to Dad and then over the Farm. Now I'll need to overfly South Thomaston and "dip" a thanks to Alvin.

Condolence From: Rick Winslow
Condolence: I looked this morning only to see your name listed as one of those that have now passed. I am sorry to see that your family has lost one so dear. I remember that you were friends with my parents and came out to Pulpit Harbor in one of your planes in 1965 to give me a birthday ride in it. I was only 5 at the time but it's one memory that I will never forget. Also since my father was from Vinalhaven, he had a piece of the Steamer Castine cut from its timbers and gave it to me. So a little bit of you is here with me today. Again I'm sorry that your large and loving family has lost a great person. My condolences to them all.
