Outer Burial Containers

Vaults and outer burial containers are sturdy containers into which a casket is placed prior to burial in order to protect grave plots from sinking. A broad selection of vaults are available, ranging in levels of protection from a basic concrete product to highly protective lined vaults, manufactured with a combination of concrete cores and ABS Plastic liners, while Copper and Bronze linings provide the greatest amount of protection available. The requirement of a vault is dependent upon each cemetery. Most cemeteries in Midcoast Maine require the use of a vault or outer burial container.
